Senior finance appointments across Australia, 17–30 March 2026

Star Entertainment Group
Charlie Diao appointed Group Chief Financial Officer, announced 20 March 2026 (subject to visa and regulatory approvals). Diao joins from Bally’s Corporation in the United States, where he served as Senior Vice President, Finance and Corporate Treasurer and, since December 2024, CFO of the US$1.7 billion Bally’s Chicago casino resort. He succeeds Frank Krile, who stepped down at the end of 2024. Diao is the latest Bally’s executive to join Star following the Mathieson family and Bally’s combined acquisition of a controlling stake in the casino operator. He reports to Group CEO Bruce Mathieson Jnr.

Karoon Energy
Eric Williams appointed Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer effective 23 March 2026. Williams was most recently CFO at Diversified Energy (LSE-listed), where he supported revenue growth from US$20 million to US$1.9 billion and helped transition the company to a premium London listing. Earlier in his career he held audit, controller and investor relations roles at Callon Petroleum and began at PwC. He replaces Ray Church, who served as Karoon CFO for over four and a half years and will remain until September 2026 to support the transition. Williams is based at Karoon’s Houston headquarters.

Monash IVF Group
Birol Akdogan appointed Interim Chief Financial Officer effective 26 March 2026. Akdogan brings deep ASX CFO experience, having most recently served as CFO at DBG Health. His prior roles include Group CFO at BWX Limited, General Manager of Group Finance at Super Retail Group, CFO at Murray River Organics, and a decade of senior finance positions at Ansell. He replaces Malik Jainudeen, who resigned after approximately 11 years with Monash IVF. A permanent CFO search is underway.

AMP
Adrian Ryan appointed Acting Chief Financial Officer effective 30 March 2026. Ryan steps up from his role as Director, Group Finance and Wealth at AMP, where he has spent 13 years (plus six years at AMP Capital prior). His career spans over 20 years in financial services, insurance, investment management and banking across Australia and Ireland, with previous stints at Macquarie and BNP Paribas. His appointment fills the vacancy created by Blair Vernon’s elevation from Group CFO to CEO on the same date. An internal and external search for a permanent CFO was launched in January 2026.

Global Lithium / MB Gold
Daniel Coletta appointed CFO and Company Secretary at both Global Lithium Resources and MB Gold effective 26 March 2026. Coletta succeeds Kevin Hart, who retired from both roles on the same date. MB Gold was spun out of Global Lithium, and the two companies share governance infrastructure. Coletta is an experienced Chartered Secretary and CFO who serves multiple ASX-listed and unlisted companies through his corporate advisory practice. He is a member of the Governance Institute of Australia and Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand.
